Nalanda Medical College, Patna, was established in 1970 as a private medical college. It was established by Dr. Vijay Narayain Singh, Dr. Madhusudan Das and Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha, along with Shri Krishna Kant Singh, the ex-education minister of Bihar. The hospital has about 750 beds The hospital has a lecture theatre fully air-conditioned with multimedia projector and other audio video aids. The 750-bed college and hospital is the third biggest in the state after Patna Medical College and Hospital and Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital.
